How Does the Advanced CNA Certification Help Me?

The advanced nurse aide course is an additional 75 hours of training which prepares the student to work in the hospital setting. You will gain additional clinical competencies and experiences in an acute care setting. The course is divided into 3 sections: lecture, lab and clinical. The clinical experience will take place in a metro hospital setting. The course provides the learner with content emphasizing the knowledge, skill set and basic pathophysiology necessary to provide care to patients in the hospital.

These classes are kept small and seats fill quickly.

Advanced Certified Nurse Aide

This course meets for 2-weeks (Monday - Friday). Class days meet: Mon-Tues-Wed (8A - 4:30P) Clinical days meet: Thurs-Fri (7:30A - 3:30P)

  • May 28 - June 7
  • August 26 - September 7

Online Registration Packet

Advanced CNA - Hospital Based Training Pre-Requisites

  • Successful completion of a state approved Nurse Aide Training Course (must provide documentation of a transcript or a certificate)
  • CPR (Healthcare Provider) American Heart Association
  • Students must submit the online registration packet authorizing us to complete a criminal background check. This should be started no later than 3-weeks prior to the start of class. We must have clearance back from DHS prior to attending the practicum portion of the course. Any student who does not have clearance or is denied will not be eligible to continue the course.
